about Linear equation

Introduction for who invented linear equations:
                 Linear equations are versatile whenever one quantity changes directly as another one changes. For example, the amount of gas you need to drive a certain distance, or how far something might travel at any particular speed. The equation can give the answer without having to draw a graph. Linear equations were originated by Descartes in the 17th century.

History of who Invented Linear Equations:

                        Linear equations are like algebra, although their use in graphing relationships (like where two lines crosses) falls under co ordinate graphing. This proposal credited to Descartes.  Main concepts were extended into more than two dimensions and multiple variables with the advent of linear algebra, which is really a invention of the 20th century and numerous mathematicians. Linear equations can also tell wherever multiple lines on the same graph would cross, without actually drawing the lines. Linear equations are an exemplar of algebra influencing geometry.  Traditional geometry meant how to draw diagrams with a ruler and compass, but the algebraic formulas means can find the same answer by manipulating equations.

History of Rane Descartes who Invented the Linear Equation:

            Rane Descartes is the person who was invented linear equations. In 1596, March 31, Rene Descartes was born in a village near tours in France. in his eight years Rane Descartes entered the Jesuit college La Fleche in Anjou to study mathematics from the book of Culvius.Descartes studied at the college until 1612 and he maintained the faith other than his education. Later than Descartes got a degree in law from poiter, and he enlisted in the Dutch military. While the thirty years, battle began he was optimistic to volunteer in the Bavarian army. He studied mathematics in his free time, Descartes most appreciating work was his development of Cartesian geometry which uses algebra to illustrate geometry.

Examples for Linear Equations:

                   Linear means in a row or in a line. So in a mathematical way linear equation describes a straight line. These equations are straight line in graphs too. Curved lines also called as curvilinear equations. Some of the examples for linear equations given below:
Slopes intersect linear equation: - y=mx+c
            Where m=slope and c=y-intersect form
example for linear equation
Point slope linear equation:-y-y1=m(x-x1)
            Where m=slope and(x1, y1) point on a line
Two point linear equation: - ((y-y1)/ (y2-y1)) = ((x-x1)/(x2-x1))
            Where (x1, y1), (x2, y2) two points on a line
Two intersects equation :-( x/a) +(y/b) =1
            Where a= x-intersect and b= y-intersect
